A WORD ABOUT SCAMS
It's a bummer to even have to bring such things up at a time like this, but unfortunately they are an inevitable part of our lives and our world today. Many an unscrupulous conman have taken pictures of a bike off the web, put together some information and tried to con good people into sending them money for it. Please don't be fooled! And while we here at Classic-British-Motorcycles.com (CBM) do what we can to weed out the bad ones here, you can't count on that, because liars and thieves are good at what they do. We at CBM do not endorse any of the ads on this site, nor do we vouch for anyone unless we specifically say otherwise. Demand more photos, ask for time- and date-coded pics, ask for title docs, get them to video it starting up and running, arrange for a local guy to go by and see the bike. Scammers rarely give a phone number, so ask for one so that you can call and talk to them. If it's a scam, it will usually start to unravel fairly quickly. Just the same, be careful. Consider doing the deal through a neutral 3rd-party escrow like eBay offers. And if you suspect any scams on this site, please inform us ASAP so that we can remove the bad ones. Thank you again...and be careful.

We reserve the right to refuse to run any ad, or to pull any ad for any reason, but certainly if there are any doubts about its credibility.

SCAMMER WATCH
We want to encourage you to contact us to report any suspicious or fraudulent activities. As a new service to our users, and especially our advertisers, we will run a list of those names and emails that you send us. We're not making any judgements or passing judgement on anyone. We're just sharing information, one bike fanatic to another. If it helps to keep you from getting ripped off, that's a good thing, right? As such, I reserve the right to pull any ad at any time for any reason.

MOTORCYCLES FOR SALE:
1981 TRIUMPH T140 RACE BIKE - $5,900

1981 Triumph T140 twin plug head race bike. A lot of history for not much money! Used in the Battle of the Twins races in the early 80's it was then parked in as used condition. The second owner bought it from auction, and was terrorizing his neighborhood when I found it last year.
With some help from people watching this sale we were able to discover Marcus Day is who raced the bike in the 1986 Battle of the Twins lightweight modified class.
Overall the bike runs good, is extremely fast and is very loud. Could be converted back to street use or be a great starting point for a custom build. Either way this would make an awesome addition to any collection or better yet to return to vintage racing.
I'm pleased to answer any questions. Thanks for viewing my listing.

MOTORCYCLES FOR SALE:
1972 KAWASAKI H2 MACH IV 750 - $8,500

This Kawasaki 750cc two-stroke triple was the hottest motorcycle on the street in 1970, a wicked-fast machine that handled well enough to win production races. Kawasaki’s H1 500cc triple of 1969 was a big success, although it was rightly criticized for having brakes and suspension barely adequate to handle the machine’s terrific power. When Kawasaki decided to build its biggest bike ever, a 750cc capacity, it totally redesigned its two-stroke triple with a new chassis and a new engine. The engine displaced 748cc and produced 74 HP, which was by far the most powerful production motorcycle from Japan and was only bested by the Münch Mammut, which used an NSU car motor and weighed 100 pounds more. Thus, the H2, when it was released in 1971, had the quickest quarter-mile times of any production bike—12 seconds flat. The new frame was more robust and kept the wheels in line far better than the H1, while the single disc brake up front (with an optional second disc) was a better bet than the twin-leading-shoe drum of the H1. The 750 H2 weighed 452 pounds and had a broader spread of power than its smaller brother, which made it far more civilized to ride. It was still a totally uncompromised and wild machine, though, and instantly displaced the H1 as the wheelie king and the ultimate street racer. However, the end of the two-stroke street bike was near at hand in the U.S., and we only got three more years of the H2 before its smoky tendencies made it an outlaw and Kawasaki stopped production in 1975, as the 900cc Z-1 was loose on the streets and a worthy inheritor of the H2’s mantle as the mean-streets monarch. This awesome 1971 Kawasaki H2 Mach IV 750cc two-stroke triple holds a special place in the hearts of closet hooligans everywhere. It’s a bike that lived up to its reputation, and well-restored examples like this are rare.

1952 VINCENT RAPIDE SERIES C- $64,000 USD

This beautiful piece of engineering is in virtually mint condition. The bike was first registered 18.06.1952 and has only had 4 owners prior to me. I bought the bike 10 years ago and have only done 10 miles on it as I find it too small for me so I have reluctantly decided to sell it.The bike was restored by the third owner in 2001. This included an engine rebuild / overhaul, new Amal concentric carbs, new wheel rims with stainless spokes and new tyres. and other refurbishment work . The bike has only done 82 miles since. Excellent paintwork all round, beautiful chrome and lovely polished alloy. The bike starts easily and runs and rides as it should. The bike has the added bonus of a hand operated centre stand for ease of lifting.Everything on the bike works as it should and you would have trouble finding a nicer example.I have a case full of receipts and paperwork with the bike including the original Vincent riders handbook and maintenance and repair manuals. Happy to arrange shipping worldwide at cost. Asking price £49500.00 more photos available on request.

MOTORCYCLES FOR SALE:
1956 TRIUMPH 6T THUNDERBIRD CUSTOM - $10,000

Triumph - 6T (Thunderbird) completely rebuilt 650cc vertical twin - 1956. The bike was hung as a display for over ten years. At first it was to be a restoration until it became obvious the cost was too high.

The bike was then rebuilt as a cafe racer. A Hunt magneto sparks the engine. There is a large capacity oil tank. The transmission has been completely rebuilt. The wheels are original and she sports new Avon Road Runners. The frame was taken to white metal and powder coated and the tank and mudguard were painted. The color is black.

The condition is as like new as was possible. The electric system is new with a Zero Gravity Lithium Ion battery. No Lucas (The Prince of Darkness) electrics. She starts at first kick and is a joy to ride, especially in the “twisties”. The title is clear. In addition to the bike I will include parts that either came off of the original bike or were acquired during the rebuild but not used.

MOTORCYCLES FOR SALE:
1945 HARLEY-DAVIDSON UL - $14,000

I'm looking to cash out on this beautiful classic. It's a 1945 Harley UL. I gained ownership of this classic 8 years after Inherited a rich garage from my late father. It's not an easy task if I had to service and maintain over 14 great motorcycles, So I feel the need to lessen the garage and sell out some of the beauty in it, to some other motorcycle enthusiasts. The bike is a great bike in an excellent running condition. Start and stops as she should, Idle fine and of course a great runner. To think that the bike has over 80% original component in it, is indeed of great interest to any buyer.

1975 NORTON COMMANDO MkIII - $13,000

This great piece was bought from a UK collector 'Joseph Batts' 13 years ago, and has since been well-maintained and regularly serviced. However, a recent flare up of an old back injury has called for serious warning from my Doc to quit riding. 'Sad' you will say, but my health remains paramount so I'm looking to clear my garage gradually. The bike has been well-preserved and regularly looked after. Had her service in November. Starts real quick just like new, idles fine and runs impressively.

MOTORCYCLES FOR SALE:
1967 RICKMAN METISSE w/TRIUMPH T100A ENGINE - $15,900

It was built in April 1967 – this was the first year that they went into production on the T100A. This bike is part of the first shipment of Mark IV’s into the US. There were 26 T100A’s made in 1967. 46 in 1968. 59 in 1969. 26 in 1970. 9 in 1971 for a total of 166. My frame number is 1083 and it’s a Mark IV. This was the second by number of the first shipment.

I know that the bike was raced here in the States in the Summer of ’67. I believe it was shipped to FAD Engineering in Syracuse, NY. My guess is that it has to be one of the first ones built in the States. I bought it in 1968/1969.. and continued to race it until 1975. Before I bought it, it was raced by a man with the nickname, “Frenchie”. When I bought the bike (I believe it was in 1968) the name on the registration was Bill Humes. At the time, I worked for the Rickman importer and can remember a lot of the different parts and Westlake kits that came in.

I took the original engine out in 1969 and replaced it with another T100. The engine that is in the bike was built by Ray Beebe, from Central NY Cycle (Triumph Dealership). He campaigned all Rickman models, Triumph/BSA from ’66 through ’71 in the Northeast. The head that is on the engine is called a Baltimore Head. These specific heads were developed in 1965 for Gary Nixon for his road racers and flat track bikes. These were sold under the Tricor name. They used a slightly higher compression and slightly larger valves. When Nixon won the Daytona 200, Triumph renamed the 500cc the Daytona.

I still have the original fender and the two number plates, as well as the original air box. OrIginal motor 61 Triumph with distributor, converted to ET. If the ET was not spot on it wouldn’t function correctly. This is why I changed the engine in 69/70. In 1968, I added the removable lights, so I could take them off for racing. CLEAR TITLE.
