A WORD ABOUT SCAMS
It's a bummer to even have to bring such things up at a time like this, but unfortunately they are an inevitable part of our lives and our world today. Many an unscrupulous conman have taken pictures of a bike off the web, put together some information and tried to con good people into sending them money for it. Please don't be fooled! And while we here at Classic-British-Motorcycles.com (CBM) do what we can to weed out the bad ones here, you can't count on that, because liars and thieves are good at what they do. We at CBM do not endorse any of the ads on this site, nor do we vouch for anyone unless we specifically say otherwise. Demand more photos, ask for time- and date-coded pics, ask for title docs, get them to video it starting up and running, arrange for a local guy to go by and see the bike. Scammers rarely give a phone number, so ask for one so that you can call and talk to them. If it's a scam, it will usually start to unravel fairly quickly. Just the same, be careful. Consider doing the deal through a neutral 3rd-party escrow like eBay offers. And if you suspect any scams on this site, please inform us ASAP so that we can remove the bad ones. Thank you again...and be careful.

We reserve the right to refuse to run any ad, or to pull any ad for any reason, but certainly if there are any doubts about its credibility.

SCAMMER WATCH
We want to encourage you to contact us to report any suspicious or fraudulent activities. As a new service to our users, and especially our advertisers, we will run a list of those names and emails that you send us. We're not making any judgements or passing judgement on anyone. We're just sharing information, one bike fanatic to another. If it helps to keep you from getting ripped off, that's a good thing, right? Here's the latest list:

MOTORCYCLES FOR SALE:
1950 AJS 350 BOY RACER - $21,000

The AJS 7R is a British 350 cc racing motorcycle built from 1948 to 1963 by Associated Motor Cycles. It was also commonly known as the ‘Boy Racer’, and won victories both for the factory and for privateers right from its introduction in 1948. This motorcycle sports the "long stroke" motor with it's 74 x 81 bore and stroke and has been set up for current AHRMA racing. The motor has undergone a fresh mechanical rebuild although has not been ran in since the rebuild. The motorcycle is set up with alloy wheel rims, fiberglass gas tank, small wind screen and Amal GP carb. The motor has case stamping #1523 so we are not exactly sure what year it actually is. This 7R would be a great addition to any collection or for the vintage race scene.

MOTORCYCLES FOR SALE:
1956 TRIUMPH 6T THUNDERBIRD CUSTOM - $10,000

Triumph - 6T (Thunderbird) completely rebuilt 650cc vertical twin - 1956. The bike was hung as a display for over ten years. At first it was to be a restoration until it became obvious the cost was too high.

The bike was then rebuilt as a cafe racer. A Hunt magneto sparks the engine. There is a large capacity oil tank. The transmission has been completely rebuilt. The wheels are original and she sports new Avon Road Runners. The frame was taken to white metal and powder coated and the tank and mudguard were painted. The color is black.

The condition is as like new as was possible. The electric system is new with a Zero Gravity Lithium Ion battery. No Lucas (The Prince of Darkness) electrics. She starts at first kick and is a joy to ride, especially in the “twisties”. The title is clear. In addition to the bike I will include parts that either came off of the original bike or were acquired during the rebuild but not used.

I'm looking to cash out on this beautiful classic. It's a 1945 Harley UL. I gained ownership of this classic 8 years after Inherited a rich garage from my late father. It's not an easy task if I had to service and maintain over 14 great motorcycles, So I feel the need to lessen the garage and sell out some of the beauty in it, to some other motorcycle enthusiasts. The bike is a great bike in an excellent running condition. Start and stops as she should, Idle fine and of course a great runner. To think that the bike has over 80% original component in it, is indeed of great interest to any buyer.

This great piece was bought from a UK collector 'Joseph Batts' 13 years ago, and has since been well-maintained and regularly serviced. However, a recent flare up of an old back injury has called for serious warning from my Doc to quit riding. 'Sad' you will say, but my health remains paramount so I'm looking to clear my garage gradually. The bike has been well-preserved and regularly looked after. Had her service in November. Starts real quick just like new, idles fine and runs impressively.

MOTORCYCLES FOR SALE:
1967 RICKMAN METISSE w/TRIUMPH T100A ENGINE - $15,900

It was built in April 1967 – this was the first year that they went into production on the T100A. This bike is part of the first shipment of Mark IV’s into the US. There were 26 T100A’s made in 1967. 46 in 1968. 59 in 1969. 26 in 1970. 9 in 1971 for a total of 166. My frame number is 1083 and it’s a Mark IV. This was the second by number of the first shipment.

I know that the bike was raced here in the States in the Summer of ’67. I believe it was shipped to FAD Engineering in Syracuse, NY. My guess is that it has to be one of the first ones built in the States. I bought it in 1968/1969.. and continued to race it until 1975. Before I bought it, it was raced by a man with the nickname, “Frenchie”. When I bought the bike (I believe it was in 1968) the name on the registration was Bill Humes. At the time, I worked for the Rickman importer and can remember a lot of the different parts and Westlake kits that came in.

I took the original engine out in 1969 and replaced it with another T100. The engine that is in the bike was built by Ray Beebe, from Central NY Cycle (Triumph Dealership). He campaigned all Rickman models, Triumph/BSA from ’66 through ’71 in the Northeast. The head that is on the engine is called a Baltimore Head. These specific heads were developed in 1965 for Gary Nixon for his road racers and flat track bikes. These were sold under the Tricor name. They used a slightly higher compression and slightly larger valves. When Nixon won the Daytona 200, Triumph renamed the 500cc the Daytona.

I still have the original fender and the two number plates, as well as the original air box. OrIginal motor 61 Triumph with distributor, converted to ET. If the ET was not spot on it wouldn’t function correctly. This is why I changed the engine in 69/70. In 1968, I added the removable lights, so I could take them off for racing. CLEAR TITLE.

MOTORCYCLES FOR SALE:
1951 HARLEY-DAVIDSON PANHEAD - $10,000

Very nice barn find motorcycle that sports an earlier repaint on the tank and fenders. This old girl is how you like to find them with all of the dust and grime that one would expect from an original old rider. After sitting for many years, the engine and transmission have been serviced and all fluids have been changed out. The 61ci EL Panhead engine sounds good and starts easy but obviously has had some time on it before being set aside for its long sleep. Don't miss out!!

This is an extremely special and hard to find original paint bike. Everything is original! The only items that have been replaced are the tires. The motor has never been touched. The previous owner bought it in 1980, (because all of his buddies had harleys back then) but instead of riding with it with his friends, he parked it in his garage and that's where it sat covered and untouched for the next 36 years! All of the basic, necessary maintenance has been performed. All of the electrics function properly. Engine runs beautifully, the bike runs beautifully. This motorcycle is registered, insured and titled in my name.

MOTORCYCLES FOR SALE:
1928 AJS MODEL K 'BIG PORT' - $26,500

This motorcycle belonged to my grandfather J.W.G Branse (co-founder of the VMC: Veterans Club). It is a 1928 AJS Model K 350 cc OHV single. Over the years, some things have changed on the engine. This is because my grandfather Jack Branse raced it in England. The front fork has been replaced by a Webb fork of late thirties / early forties. Furthermore, the front wheel is one of a small tweetact from the thirties / forties. The original AJS gearbox has been replaced by a Sturmey-Archer bucket. The hand-shifter on the tank has been replaced by one with foot-shift. The rear frame is reinforced with a third tube running from the rear axle to the bottom of the gearbox. The carburetor looks like an AMAL off a Norton 16H. Originally, AJS still had a Binks carburetor in those years. Engine block number K113 119; Magneto number Type K.D. D4 No 7C525578; Frame No K111617. Contact seller for more info, pictures & video of the bike.

1972 HARLEY-DAVIDSON FL - $9,500
I bought this bike to help an acquaintance out of a rather immediate financial jam. With that said I will tell you what I KNOW and believe about the bike. It's 44 years old, I've owned it 9 years. Anything before that I / We have no firm knowledge of. This bike was actually last ridden, January 2018. I am selling the bike as 'running'. The condition is good.

MOTORCYCLES FOR SALE:
1971 TRIUMPH TRIDENT 750 - $8,000

The engine sounds really good and is not even broken in from after the rebuild. I have started it three times in the last two weeks and let it run for about 10 minutes each time. It has been a slight pain to get it started because it does need a new throttle cable (The throttle cable is causing the carburetor slides to not return to the original idle speed) and the one carburetor seems to have a sticky float bowl. It will rev high unless you push the slide bar down manually. It does have a very slow oil leak when sitting for a while but seems to be nothing major. I have been told this is common on these bikes. Everything else seems solid, the bike shifts through gears as it should, the brakes stop well and the bike handles great. The original owner had a electronic Boyer ignition put in and he told me the choke cable may be disconnected, if there ever was one on these models.

MOTORCYCLES FOR SALE:
1931 HARLEY-DAVIDSON PROJECT BIKE - $6500

Check out this 1931 Harley Davidson V-Series Motorcycle. Recently acquired in upstate NY from the original family. As you can see there are some parts missing, and will take a little bit of work to make it roadworthy again. The Motor and Transmission are free and spin freely. The Frame and Forks appear to be solid and straight, front and rear fender are solid, left side tank has some major rust, the right side looks usable? This motorcycle has lots and lots of potential!!! many great original paint parts, would make a great Patina Ride. I have the NY registration from the original Family from when was purchased. The last time this was registered was in 1951.
I am willing to help with shipping.
